In Memory of David H. Gunter lost to Agent Orange in 2014
Name: David H. Gunter
Date of Death: February 15, 2014
His Service: Vietnam Veteran, Army, Communications, 1968-1970, Hon Tre Island, Illness that took his life: Agent Orange Complications (too many to list)
He was an amazing father, husband, & grandfather (aka grand “pappy”)…he loved to laugh and make others laugh…he enjoyed spending time with friends and family (esp. Grandchildren), automotive repairs, & carpentry.
David had to medically retire. He was working maintenance foreman for the public school district. He was a jack-of-all-trades….he was my heart…my daddy…he suffered for so long and had to fight to get help from the VA…which is so sad…he was proud of being a Vietnam veteran and wore his hat to show his pride!
He appreciates anyone that would thank him or shake his hand…he would help others and give them his shirt off his back, if he needed too. He loved helping others and treated everyone with respect!
David instilled these values in me and I’m honored to be his daughter…I miss him everyday and a piece of my heart is in heaven…God, bless and heal those who are suffering…
