In Memory of Kevin C. Buckley lost to Agent Orange in 2014.
Upon graduation from Manhattan College, Kevin was drafted into the United States Army. He served overseas in Vietnam and Germany as part of the 25th Infantry Combat Division known as “Tropic Lightening” until August 1971. He was honorably discharged October 1975.
Kevin passed away April 28, 2014 from Agent Orange related Parkinson’s Disease, Progressive Supranuclear Palsy and Multi-Symptom Atrophy.
In 1980 Kevin joined the National Park service as Administrative Officer at Gateway National Recreation Area. In 1984 he was promoted to Deputy Superintendent of the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. In 1999 he retired after 30 years of government service.
Kevin lived his life to the fullest and loved Susan with all his heart. He cherished and adored his 5 children and 7 grandchildren. He valued the tremendous friendships he made over the course of his life and was always there to help out if needed.
