In Memory of Alan Lee Bates lost to Agent Orange in 2008.
Alan was drafted 4-10-69 into the United States Army and was a radio man.
He was in Vietnam in 1969 spending time in Plie Kue and Laos.
His last duty assigment was ADV Tm 36, YI Corps RVM MACV.
He was awarded several service medals.
Alan passed away November 5, 2008 from the complications of Agent Orange.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards, spending time with his grandchildren, watching football and NASCAR and working on cars.
I have medical issues/birth defects cause by my dad’s exposure to Agent Orange.
If there is anyone that served with my dad and has pictures they would like to share that would be amazing.
He went to basic training at Fort Knox and he was from Middleton, MI.
