In Memory of Elisha Byrd (AKA: Junior) lost to Agent Orange in 2009.

Elisha Byrd Jr. was in the United States Army were he served as a medic. He was in Vietnam in 1968 where he was exposed to Agent Orange.

Elisha passed May 27, 2009 due to the complications from Agent Orange.

Even after being drafted, Dad was very proud of his service. I remember as a child Dad dealing with the Agent Orange issue. The most noticeable were tremors that kept him from doing anything with a steady hand.

As time progressed he would have to hold his right wrist with his left hand just to print his name. Dad was declared 100% disabled through the VA shortly before his death due to other medical conditions linked to Agent Orange.

Knowing these heroes are dying a slow and painful death just turns my stomach. All of my love and respect to those dealing with it.

I am forever grateful for the life I have because of them.
