
In Memory of Eulice (Howard) Farrar lost to Agent Orange 2015.
Howard was in Vietnam December 1968-December 1969 as an Army Specialist E4 with the 178th Assault Support Helicopter Company near Chu Lai.
He was promoted to Crew Chief on a new Chinook 105.
Howard rescued downed pilots at the Laos border, participated in Operation Russell Beach at Qang Nai, LZ Baldy, LZ Bluff near Qui Nhon, LZ West, LZ Siberia and Hill 26. 420 Chinook helicopters were shot down in action during the Tet Offensive at Hill 54.
Howard received the following awards: Air Medal on June 1969 for his action on February 28, 1969 while crew chief operating around Tiem Phuoc and Air Medal for action from July 28, 1969-Aug. 7, 1969.
Howard died on May 21, 2015 at Temple Texas VA Medical Center from diabetes, HTN, congestive hear failure and acute chronic respiratory failure.
