In Memory of Joseph F. Pennell lost to Agent Orange in 2011.
Joseph was a proud United States Marine from 1964-1969 and served in Vietnam as a Motor Vehicle Operations Truck Driver delivering ammo to the troops and bringing back the deceased.
He received the following awards: RifleSS.RVN; RVNESMD 1w/1; NAT DEFSERMAL and the Good Conduct Medal.
Joseph passed away April 21, 2011 from illnesses due to the exposure to Agent Orange. He started feeling the effects of Agent Orange 10 years before he passed away.
He was a member of the former V.F.W. #64 in Roseland and the Clay Democratic club. He enjoyed camping, fishing and playing the guitar. In 1964 he cut a record with his band (The Riverias) titled (California Sunshine) before he went into the Marines. He didn’t know it was out until he heard it on the radio while in the Service.
We greatly miss him. His loving wife,
Valerie Rose Vallance-Pennell
