In Memory of SSG Thomas Santiago Jr. lost to Agent Orange in 2009.
Originally from Brooklyn, NY, Thomas served in the United States Army from December 1967 until December 1973 with B Battery, 1st and 92nd Artillery, 1st Field Forces.
Thomas was stationed principally in Pleiku, Vietnam. SSG Santiago later joined the NYARNG where he served with the Rainbow division (Bay Shore Armory) for 14 years, primarily in the motor platoon.
SSG Santiago retired in 2003 and the family moved to Florida.
Thomas died May 21, 2009 from lung cancer linked to his time in Vietnam and his exposure to Agent Orange.
Thomas is missed by his family, friends and his poodle Molly.
