Today we remember Vietnam and Korean War veteran Victor Nicolas Rivera who passed away in 1985.
My uncle Victor Nicolas Rivera was stationed last at Fort Bragg NC.
He served in Vietnam between 1963-1969.
Victor also served in the Korean War as a paratrooper.
Victor passed away July 22, 1985 when he was hit by a truck on his way home from the VFW near his home in Sanford, NC. He is buried at Arlington National Cemetery.
He was my mom’s youngest brother. Uncle Victor was born and raised in Coamo, Puerto Rico.
There is a rifle range at Fort Bragg named after him.
