In Memory of Billy R. Vickers lost to Agent Orange in 2005.
Billy R. Vickers, SP4, U.S. Army, Vietnam, Dec. 25, 1945 – Aug. 3, 2005. Agent Orange I’m not even sure that protective gear would have helped.
I was taking my husband back to Louisiana in July 2005 when we stopped at a rest area just out side of Dallas, TX. I was needing some help with my husband and an older gentleman offered his help, as we began to talk, his eyes filled with tears, as he to was a Vietnam Vet.
He was shocked to see the affects of Agent Orange, as he sat there telling us that was part of his job to mix it and get it in the planes.
You never know who or what you might run into on life’s journey, we hugged him, my husband telling him it was alright he understood duty.
